Overview

When you create an IT Agent account, you create a Tenant.

As part of this process, IT Agent automatically creates a single Organization with the same name.

You don’t need to manually create your first Organization — it’s ready for you as soon as you sign in.

Step-by-Step: Get Started

Create Your IT Agent Tenant

  1. Go to https://itagent.app and sign up.

  2. Sign into your account with your email address.

  3. Once logged in your will have the ability to create your tenant.

  4. Choose a tenant name.

    • This name determines:

      • Your login domain (for example: yourcompany.us1.itagent.app)

      • The name of your first Organization

  5. Complete account setup.

Once finished, you’ll be signed in and ready to go.

Your Organization Is Created Automatically

After your account is created:

  • A single Organization is created automatically

  • The Organization:

    • Has the same name as your Tenant

    • Is ready immediately for device onboarding and management

  • You are automatically placed into that Organization

There is nothing else you need to configure to begin using IT Agent.

Note: Most users only need one Organization when getting started.

What You Can Do Next

Once signed in, you can:

  • Install IT Agent on your first device

  • View devices as they check in

  • Create Groups to organize systems

  • Apply policies, jobs, and automation

All of this happens inside your automatically created Organization.

When Would I Create Additional Organizations?

Additional Organizations are optional and can be created later if needed.

Common reasons include:

  • MSPs managing multiple customers

  • Separating environments (e.g., Production vs Test)

  • Large teams with distinct operational boundaries

If you don’t have a clear need, you can safely stay with a single Organization.
